Such is Life

(Continuation from the recent post: Believe)

And as you are reminded of the nature of life, in which you are constantly being tested, and perhaps there are doubts in your heart of the one giving you those tests, read on.

The next two verses tell you that Allah had created the skies, with absolutely no faults and cracks. And then He questions: Can you find any cracks? And yet again, the next verse tells us to look again at the sky, are there any imperfections?

And somehow, whenever I look up at the sky, it reminded me so much of this life.

On somedays, there can thunderstorms, there’ll be dark clouds. But on most days, you’ll see the blue sky, with its bouncy-looking white clouds.

The perfection of the sky includes some of the most magnificent view, such as during the sunrise and sunset. But it also includes some of the worst weather ever.

And such is life.

Much Love

You hurt me so much so that I need to put a funny emoticon as well as the heart emoticon beside your name in my phone.

So whenever you decide to call, I’ll remember how much joy and love you have brought in my life.

And that, I hope, will make forgiving to be much easier to do.

I don’t want to lose you again…. but somehow, I did.

Hijab #3

K: So I have decided not to wear the hijab…. I think that I am not doing it for Allah. I am not a good person and so I don’t want to be a hypocrite. I feel like I am not reflecting myself and I am not staying true to myself….

L: I am sorry but I think I am not staying true to myself and I’ll be a hyprocrite if I don’t slap you. I need to do that….because it reflects what I feel inside. *walks away*

How many of us really act according to what is inside our hearts? Are we defining hypocrisy as how it is supposed to be defined?

At some point of our lives, I think each and every one of us will come across people that genuinely care for us yet we don’t really like them. And then there are people that we actually love them but they don’t really care about us🤷🏻‍♀️

And with that, always remember that in whatever situation, you are dealing with Allah. Deal with the person how He wants you to. Life is a test. This is one of the tests.

It is hard? Absolutely 100%.

Do I want to hang out with you? Nope. No. Why do I want to.

Taat. Taat. Taat. Jangan ikut perasaan sangat.

I find it beautiful that in one of the recommended surahs to read every night is Surah Mulk.

The first verse started out with ‘tabaarak’ (تبارك) – Blessed be He (Allah). If we were to talk about barakah, which is often explained to us in terms of wealth. That is, a small amount of money, if there is barakah in it, then it will suffice. Obviously, barakah doesn’t just apply to wealth.

The first verse is a reminder that in whatever situation you are in your life, with all the chaos going around, remember that He is in control and He has it all planned out.

And the second verse reminds you of your permanent condition: you will be tested.

And in just these two verses, it is as if a means to coax as well as to reaffirm your heart after all that it has been through.

This life is a test, He is in control, Believe.

Although you are chocked up with your own tears, believe.

Quran 67:1-2

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِ ٱلْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things.

Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving;

One of my friends always use ‘hehe’ in her text messages while another one uses ‘hahaha’ a lot…. to the extend that sometimes I find it completely irrelevant.

For example, ‘I need help’. ‘Help in what? Hahaha.’ *Why would I disturb the good mood of a friend right?* Reply: ‘Forget it. Hahaha’

The ‘hehe’ friend explained that perhaps she just wants to cover her sadness and would always want people around her to be happy. Always emitting positive vibes, you know.

Okay. Cool.
